1st Spin [Video] Surviving Balverines
[The feed clicks on with a little difficulty, showing the face of a ginger man who seems to be really fascinated with the 'gear, staring at the feed with mismatched blue and brown eyes.
After a moment he notices that it's on.]
Is this some kind of magic box like the one Master Weaver 'ad? Didn't think they'd 'ave these in hell!
[He's more amused by the fact that he's awake and alive than 'oh god where am I?', because hell- being alive and nowhere familiar is a far better alternative to being dead.]
I'd 'ave thought that wakin' up fwom death would feel like death warmed up! I'm wather dissatisfied with how cold it is and I would like to see life's manager.
I kid, I kid! Does anyone know of a man named 'Weaver? Or Albion at all, actually.
[He hasn't even found his Pokémon yet.]

[He's actually moved places since he recorded this.]
Yep. Awwived in some town called Goldenwod- stwange buildings these, ugly though- Got given some dirty animals and now I'm on my way to your- may I say devastatingly handsome- self and His Majesty.
Ah, yes, Goldenrod City - I arrived there myself, though I can't say that I was terribly fond of it; the fact that it was being bombed by some madman two days after my arrival really didn't do much to help my impression. I mean, really, if you're going to bomb a city, the least they could have done would be to invite me to come with.
[He seems mildly sulky at that for the briefest of moments - is that pouting? it might be pouting, maybe half a second of pouting - before he immediately seems to brighten up again, offering the most flippant of gestures before moving on.]
But that's their loss! Anyway - tell me about these hideous creatures this place saw fit to bestow upon you, hm?
[He means the mutated. He's staying away from them and honestly considers them close to animals.]
[He picks up one of his Pokéballs, fiddling with it and turning it around until he finds the button; holding it at arms length, he pushes the button and that thing comes out.
Turning the 'gear to the floor, there's a Zorua.]
Looks like a baby Balverween- if they can even pwoduce that way, that is.
[Following it, the Magikarp comes out too.]
I personally think this one's a bit fishy. [He can't help but laugh at his really bad joke. Barry has no humour standards whatsoever.]
That said, however, that does, in fact, seem to be a baby balverine - in an incredibly simplistic-looking, bigheaded sort of way. To be fair, he's never been one for children and is of the general opinion that they all look vaguely like malformed little monsters that probably crawled out of a swamp somewhere, so it's entirely possible that Barry's balverine-thing is normal and not...ah, deficient - but given everyone's luck in this world so far, he isn't going to get his hopes up.]
While I can't say anything for the overlarge goldfish, hopefully the balverine will at least do something interesting - whether they're locals or not, the people in this place seem rather content to try to destroy each other in the most spectacular ways possible.
[That statement is accompanied with an incredibly dismissive handwave, though - really, if the people here want to kill themselves off, they're more than welcome to do it.]
Although I suppose that's just what happens when you give everyone creatures that apparently have some command over spells and the like.
[He's looking to his Zorua- which his mind has given up on caring the name of and is now just referring to as 'Balverine'. It's got potential for a fight, maybe.]
Might need somethin' a bit bigger, but what about pittin' 'em against the locals?
[He enjoys commentating the wheel and wouldn't like it if he had to stop. :( Where else can he focus all his bad humour to? Not to mention, the monsters and violent locals are just asking to be used.]
Unfortunately, we don't have the Wheel just yet...however, I see no reason to let that stop us. The locals - both humans and wildlife alike - apparently have all sorts of potential.
[On the subject of the wheel and what it brings, Barry wonders on something that was said earlier.]
The King tells me you're both lost in the woods? I knew you liked to go explorin' Master, but if you don't mind me askin', is something up with the gettin' lost part?
[This place is new to all of them, right? So he's got to wonder whether Reaver's got any power here and whether he's out in the woods on escape duty or not. Barry knows what that's like; he's been in it a few times.]
It's not so much that we're lost as it is that the entire area is completely unfamiliar; it's obviously no Albion, let's put it that way. The paths are clear enough, however, and it's obviously all been mapped out; it's just a matter of exploration at this point.
[tl;dr - OH GOD WE HAVE NO IDEA WHERE WE ARE]
so basically, no one from Albion can deal without the light trail?]So does that mean that there's an exact place I can meetya? I mean, I'm not unaccustomed to twaversing the woods lost... [So many times in Millfields he actually knows the way now.] but I'd wather not keep you waitin'.
Can't buttle without a Master to buttle for.
